Officials of the Spanish club Real Madrid, headed by Florentino Perez, refused to sign a contract with the star of the first team at Chelsea during the current summer transfer period of 2024.
Real Madrid, led by President Florentino Pérez, is seeking to sign resounding deals in order to strengthen the ranks of the Madrid team to continue at the top and win European and world titles.
The Spanish newspaper “Marca” revealed that the Real Madrid club management refused to activate the clause to buy goalkeeper Kepa, the English Chelsea player, during the current summer transfer period of 2024.
The newspaper added that Kepa’s loan period with Spanish club Real Madrid ended on June 30, 2024, and the goalkeeper returned to Chelsea during the past few days.
The newspaper continued that the English club Chelsea asked for 25 million euros in exchange for completely abandoning Kepa’s services, which Real Madrid considered exaggerated and which Perez categorically rejected.
