The winter Mercato began, and with it came the loud surprises, as press reports revealed today that the former Manchester United star offered his services to Barcelona today.
A former Manchester United player hopes to wear a Barcelona shirt during the coming period, in order to revive his career that went down the drain.
According to reliable journalist Alfredo Martinez, a journalist in the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Englishman Jesse Lingard, the former Manchester United player, has offered his services to Barca in the current January transfer.
She pointed out that Lingard is a low-cost option that Barcelona can sign for free, despite the Catalan club having financial restrictions.
She explained that the total deal (including salary) is less than 2 million euros, which is a small number that the Catalan team can manage.
Lingard is currently without a club after leaving Nottingham Forest, where he is now training in Dubai, waiting to find a team to launch again in his professional career.
Lingard believes that Barcelona can become a distinctive point for relaunching and returning to the spotlight again with Spanish coach Xavi Hernandez.
Lingard can play in midfield, behind the strikers, or on the wings, and has enough skill to quickly adapt to the style of Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez.
