Spanish press reports sparked a loud surprise regarding Polish Robert Lewandowski, the Spanish FC Barcelona striker, and the truth about his imminent departure from Barcelona.
Laporta and a number of Barcelona officials are considering the possibility of offering the Polish striker for sale in the coming period.
According to what was reported by the Spanish “El Sherenjito” program, several options are being considered to sell Lewandowski next summer, in the event that one of the clubs makes a strong offer for the player, especially after his noticeable decline in level.
The Catalan newspaper Sport reported that there is a clause in Barcelona’s contract with the Polish striker, which entitles him to terminate the contract and have the player leave unilaterally, namely the Blaugrana management, in his final season.
The Spanish newspaper added that this clause would come in the event that the player does not participate with his team in 55% of Barça’s matches this season.
This thinking came after the player’s level declined and he became a burden, and Laporta believes that the next Brazilian player for Barcelona, Vitor Roque, will be a resounding bargain and will surpass the Polish’s performance this season, as Laporta is betting strongly on the player.
