The Barcelona star received insulting comments from his Atletico Madrid teammates, before next Sunday’s match at the Spanish La Liga summit.
The two Atletico Madrid players criticized their former teammate Joao Felix, with Griezmann saying: “There were moments when he performed very well, but you have to be consistent,” while Saul commented: “He could have done things better.”
Felix spoke in statements on the Spanish “Movistar” channel, about the statements of his former colleagues, “I do not agree with what Griezmann said. Everyone has their opinion, and I will not comment.”
The Portuguese international player added, “Certainly, it is possible to perform better, but what happened to me and other players was not an individual mistake, but rather collective mistakes by several people.”
Regarding Saul’s statements specifically: “It is clear that I could have performed better, but this is borne by me and everyone. There were things that were not done well, but that was not the fault of just one person, but rather it was a collective error of several people.”
Felix Griezmann also vowed that he would score in the match and celebrate in front of him clearly to prove him wrong.
Joao Felix strongly responds to Griezmann and Saul’s statements: “It is not my fault alone.”
