Al-Ahly won the Jeddah derby by defeating its neighbor, Al-Ittihad, with a clean goal, in the match that brought together the two teams on Friday evening, at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, “The Radiant Jewel”, within the ninth round of the Saudi Professional League.
Kessie scored Al-Ahly’s goal in the 31st minute of the match, with a wonderful shot that landed to the left of Al-Ittihad’s goalkeeper.
The left post of Al-Ahly’s goalkeeper, French star Karim Benzema, was prevented from scoring the equalizer for Al-Ittihad, in the second minute of time instead of stoppage time in the first half.
