Bo Anderson, Swedish sporting director of Djurgården, admitted that there were negotiations with Barcelona regarding young midfielder Lukas Bergvall.
Bergvall is considered one of the most prominent young talents in Europe, and is wanted by many major European clubs.
Anderson said, in statements highlighted by the Spanish newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”: “I can confirm that we have been in contact with Barcelona. It is true that we spoke last week, but we did not speak this week.”
Bergvall participated with his team in 25 matches this season, and succeeded in scoring two goals, and joined the Sweden national under-21 team.
Pointing out that there are contacts with FC Barcelona regarding the future of the 17-year-old midfielder. He explained that Barcelona had contacted the Swedish club last week, but negotiations had not yet begun officially, as the rookie player’s contract extends until December 2025, and its market value is 5 million euros.
